Chicago listed as easy place for car accidents

Chicago is one of the easiest places in the country to get into a car accident, according to a report by Allstate Insurance.
Out of almost 200 U.S. cities, Chicago ranked 167th in safety, just slightly better than its rank of 170 last year, Allstate said today. The Northbrook-based insurer found that the average Chicago driver will have an auto collision every 7.6 years.
Chicago scored worse than big cities like Houston, New York and Atlanta, but better than Dallas and Los Angeles.
The worst of the cities was Washington, D.C. where the average driver has a crash every 5.1 years. The best on the list was Fort Collins, Colo., where the average years between accidents was 14.5.
