There’s nothing quite like the tedium of trawling car insurance sites and filling out endless details online to find the best quote.
Most of the popular sites claim that it’s easy, quick and convenient, although that’s usually way off the mark.
It’s a relief then, that MoneySuperMarket Car Insurance has tried to make the process easier by launching a new app available for the iPhone - offering insurance quotes at the click of a button whilst on the move.
The app is free and claims that it can sort you out a quote saving up to £375 on average in just a couple of minutes.
Customers can buy insurance directly from the app itself, or save searches for later.
Users can also ‘click to call’ any car insurance provider that they wish to take the quote out with, though chances are you’ll be waiting for the call centre to answer the phone for the next 45 minutes, undoing all that precious time you’ve just saved.
Still, with 80% of people now using price comparison sites, according to a study by Consumer Intelligence, the app should make it much easier to compare prices conveniently.
The app will also be made available for Android, but a release date is yet to be announced.
